A collection of articles relating to the history and archaeology of Jerusalem, addressing problems associated with matching the archaeological and textual records. The majority of the articles have been previously published but appear here with additional material, three new essays complete the volume. There is nothing dull in this book, and it is occasionally interrupted with O'Conner's scholarly sense of humour.
