Elsie Landstrom spent her first twelve years in China where her home was on the banks of the Yangtze, her summer cottage on a beautiful mountain. In America she has worked as a freelance writer and editor and, with her beloved husband, Norman, raised their two children, Peter and Ruth. The author of Closing the Circle: An American Family in China (QED Press), Ms. Landstrom is also the editor of Hyla Doc: Surgeon in China (QED Press) and Hyla Doc in Africa (QED Press), both reading selections of the Board of Global Methodist Ministries. Now eighty-three, she lives in a Quaker retirement community in Pennsylvania.
