Prof. Dr. Elmar Wienecke holds a degree in sports teaching and a doctorate in sports science. He received his doctorate in the field of Sports Medicine/Cardiology/Exercise and Exercise Science at the Sport University in Cologne, Germany. His own negative sporting experiences with numerous ligament ruptures in the ankle and knee joint led to an early sports disability.
With meticulous work and scientific research, he initially decided to become a soccer coach. Since 1989, he has held the Bundesliga (German Soccer League) coaching license. For several years, he worked as a coach in regional league clubs and for a short time in the 2nd Bundesliga. At the age of 33, he stopped coaching and co-founded SALUTO, a combination of medical services, diagnostics, science, and research, which today is an internationally recognized center of excellence for health and fitness in Germany. With the establishment of the Foundation for Micronutrients - Prevention, Health, Quality of Life, it became possible to further research and teach. This made it possible to process case reports from more than 60,000 people in the world's largest micronutrient database and to initiate a master's degree course in micronutrient therapy and regulatory medicine at the Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) Bielefeld, Germany. In 2016, the author received an endowed professorship in Sport, Nutrition, and Regulatory Medicine in the Department of Human Resources, Health and Social Affairs at the FHM.
Today, people with mood disorders, patients, and even executives and top athletes (Olympic champions, world and European champions, German champions) benefit from his successful energy concept. His studies and research projects in the field of micronutrient therapy and his fascinating lectures have gained international recognition.
