When Pinquo, a fairy penguin, is wounded the children Kirsty and Tim take him to Dr Piper, and they all look after Pinquo until he is ready to go to sea. Later the penguin comes back into their lives and when disaster strikes Sickle Bay, Pinquo leads a mad stampede to save the townspeople. Little Pinquo is a hero.
