Hannah Weiner was born in Providence, Rhode Island in 1928 and died in Manhattan in 1997. Weiner's books include The Clairvoyant Journal, Little Books/Indians (Roof), Spoke, Silent Teachers/ Remembered Sequel, and We Speak Silent Her papers are housed at the Archive for New Poetry, Mandeville Special Collections Library, at the University of California, San Diego.
