As the heart of the home, mothers have quite the job: to shape, to form, and to guide, all in love. The Cappadocian Mothers shaped the great theologians of the Orthodox world and Veronia Saad demonstrates how mothers today can learn from and apply their wisdom to the modern home. This work explores how our homes and our local parishes can be a place of transformation for its people rather than a place of information. This work looks at the Cappadocian Mothers who illustrated a Christocentric home-church in the fourth century, as recounted in the works of the Cappadocian Fathers. Their model of a life of holiness
and virtue created homes of transformation which led to the deep theology of the famous Cappadocian Fathers that we know today: St. Basil the Great, St. Gregory of Nyssa and St. Gregory the Theologian.
