Alegoría del mundo y de la condición humana, Santa María del Circo es la historia de un grupo de cirqueros que, al llegar a un pueblo fantasma, no menos desolado que ellos, tratan de fundar un nuevo orden, construir sobre lo destruido. Su vida se convierte así en una función interminable en busca de la propia redención.

An allegory of the world and the human condition, Santa María del Circo tells the story of a group of circus performers who, upon arriving in a ghost town no less desolate than themselves, attempt to found a new order, to build upon what has been destroyed. Their lives thus become an endless performance in search of their own redemption.

The circus arrived in town.
The town is empty.
What do we do with the circus?

What about the dwarf, the strongman, and the bearded woman?
