With decades of practice in cardiac and aortic surgery, John A. Elefteriades, MD is William W.L. Glenn Professor of Surgery at Yale University. He founded the Aortic Institute at Yale, one of the earliest multispecialty collaborative programs in aortic disease. He is the recipient of multiple distinguished awards and positions, including chief of cardiothoracic surgery at Yale, member of the board of governors of the American College of Cardiology, and editor-in-chief of the journal AORTA, and he has authored multiple books.
