ROISDER participated in the 59th Congress of the Federal Union of European Nationalities FUEN, held in Flensburg, Germany, from May 7-11, 2014. ROISDERs FUEN membership was approved at this congress. As is known, FUEN operates as a non-governmental organization in Europe protecting the rights of national minorities. It represents a population of 100 million, under the motto You Are Not Alone.
To put it briefly, in addition to its activities in Turkey, ROISDER has been working to draw public attention to the issues related to the Turks living in Rhodes and Kos on the international arena. Since 2014, it has been presenting the problems of island Turks to institutions such as the United Nations, the Council of Europe, the Federal Union of European Nationalities, and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.
In this regard, ROISDERs contributions to the book Studies on the Turkishness of Rhodes and Kos in the International Arena are presented in detail. The book contains the following sections United Nations Studies; Turks of Rhodes and Kos in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation; Studies of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe; Studies of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe; Studies of the Federal Union of European Nationalities; Studies of the Working Group on Turkish Minorities of the Federal Union of European Nationalities; and Letters from Abroad.
ROISDER, Rodos ve Istanköy sorunlari konusunda bir bilinci olusturulmasi icin uluslararasi arenada da etkinlikler yapmaktir. Bu baglamda,Birlesmis Milletler BM, Avrupa Güvenlik ve Isbirligi Teskilati AGIT, Avrupa Konseyi AK ve Avrupa Milletleri Federal Birligi FUEN gibi uluslararasi örgütlerde calismalar düzenlemekte ve yayinlar yapmaktadir.
Uluslararasi Arenada Rodos ve Istanköy Türklügü Calismalari kitabimiz da,2013 yilindan bu yana,yukarida anilan kurum ve özgütlerde ROISDERin yapmakta olan calismalari yani sira ilgililere kaleme alinan mektuplari icermektedir.
Bu kitabimizla özellikle uluslararasi arenada da Rodos ve Istanköyde yasamakta olan Türklerin varligini kanitlama ve sorunlarina cözüm yollari bulma dogrultusunda bilincin olusturulmasina katkida bulunacaktir.
