The creative duo called tupera tupera (Tatsuya Kameyama and Atsuko Nakagawa) are responsible for some of Japan's most popular contemporary picture books, including Polar Bear's Underwear, Stripe Island, Make Faces, and What Does Baby Want?. They like to use paper cut-outs to make their bold and colorful art, and their books have won more than 20 major awards in Japan and abroad. They also design gift products and stage sets and create illustrations for events and advertising. Lisa Wilcut is an award-winning writer and Japanese literary translator. Her picture book translations include I Can Open It For You by Yoshitake Shinsuke, My Magic Dress by Kayako Nishimaki, I'll Draw My Own Pictures by Ryoji Arai, and The Mole Construction Company books by Shingo Nagasaki.
