You love your child. So why does parenting them feel like survival?
No adoptive or foster parent wants to admit it.
You feel emotionally exhausted. Every interaction feels harder than it should. The guilt is relentless because you love your child but the warmth and connection you expected seem impossible to reach.
You're not failing.
You're experiencing Blocked Care.
When chronic stress, trauma, rejection, and relentless caregiving overwhelm your nervous system, your capacity for connection can begin to shut down. This isn't a character flaw or a lack of love. It's a protective biological response, and it can be understood.
In Blocked Care, you'll discover a compassionate, science-informed approach to understanding what's happening inside your own mind and body, so you can begin rebuilding the connection you thought you'd lost.
Inside you'll learn how to:
- Name It: Recognize the hidden biology behind blocked care and decode the physiological triggers that lead to parental burnout.
- Rebuild It: Regulate your own nervous system using body-first, somatic tools before trying to manage or change your child's behavior.
- Forgive It: Break free from the shame that keeps so many parents suffering in silence, and process the grief of the parenting experience you expected.
- Reconnect: Rebuild emotional resilience and create space for genuine, authentic attachment again.
- Thrive: Move beyond survival mode and rediscover the parent you know you can be.
This isn't another parenting book that tells you to try harder or demands that you perform empathy on an empty tank.
It's a guide to understanding why caring has become so difficult, and how healing yourself is the mandatory first step toward healing your relationship with your child.
The love you have for your child hasn't disappeared. It's been buried beneath chronic stress and survival.
Blocked Care will help you find your way back.
